This involves putting the engine and pump "through its paces" to be sure that it can perform as intended. This testing is conducted in-house by our Department mechanic - who also happens to be one of our Deputy Chiefs. This is a long process, with seven engines/aerials/tenders to test and certify, taking place during several consecutive Thursday-night weekly training sessions.
