This 1992 Grumman apparatus is one of two aerial devices operated by the Hermitage Fire Department.  Powered by a Detroit Diesel 8V92 engine mated to an Allison transmission, this unit is capable of the toughest jobs.  Utilizing its 85' Snorkel articulating boom, fire fighters can access tall buildings in the area with ease.  Utililizing a 1750 gallon-per-minute Waterous pump supplied by a 300 gallon water tank, tihs unit can spray over 1000 gallons of water per minute from its basket-mounted nozzle.  This unit carries 500 feet of 5" large diameter supply hose, 500 feet of 4" large diameter supply hose, and numerous pre-connected attack lines for quick fire suppression.  This unit also functions as a rescue apparatus - and is equipped with ropes/rigging for high angle rescue and two Hurst hydraulic extricatinon tools for heavy rescue situations.
