Dear Website Visitors,
The Hermitage Fire Department has been serving the citizens of Hermitage for over 75 years. The Hermitage Fire Department is dedicated to providing excellent service to our community and making a difference in the lives of the people we serve. We know that through our interventions we are enhancing and changing our community one life at a time.
The officers and members of this department receive no compensation, and the reward for their time and labor responding to emergency incidents is simply the satisfaction of serving the citizens of Hermitage in their time of need. The firefighters dedicate and pride themselves on providing the best possible fire, rescue, and emergency services to the City of Hermitage.
We proudly provide services in Fire Suppression, Rescue, Fire Prevention, Hazardous Materials, Public Education, and Disaster Mitigation.
The Fire Department has two career members and forty-five active volunteer members ready to serve you in a courteous and professional manner. We take pride in our service delivery and we use our training and skills to assist our residents, business partners, and visitors on approximately 1,000 calls for service annually.
We believe in community based fire services: the practice of having firefighters involved in many community activities and events. We also encourage our community to get to know our firefighters by visiting our fire station and community events regularly. We are energized by our partnership with the community we serve. We are a department driven by values. Our values are to serve with passion, respect, quality, and integrity.
Firefighters and emergency medical responders still make house calls – call 911 in an emergency. Thank you for visiting our site. If you have suggestions for improving our site please contact our webmaster on the Contact Us page. If you have question for me personally, feel free to contact me by email, postal mail, phone, or by visiting our Central Fire Station.
In closing, we want you to know that the men and women of this department are honored to serve the City of Hermitage.
