2015 Chaplain Class

Seventy fire and police chaplains, clergy, and mental health professionals from seven states (Delaware, Louisiana, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, and Pennsylvania) and New South Wales, Australia, participated in a two-day advanced training seminar, “Dealing with Difficult Deaths,” on May 18 & 19, 2015.   The class was taught by Chaplain Bill Lotz, D.Min., of Kennewick, Washington, director of the training institute for the Federation of Fire Chaplains, an international organization.  St. Paul’s United Church of Christ co-hosted this seventh annual chaplains seminar (together with the Hermitage Fire Department, Hermitage Police Department, and McGonigle’s Ambulance Service) as an outreach to ministers – and through them, to our communities’ first responders.
